Marriage Preparation Programme | |
A compulsory course must be attended by the bride and the groom
to be, either in Konkani or in English. It is either a two or three
days
course that comprises of lectures to educate the young couple who
are to enter in familiy life. It wont be wise for you to wait for
the church readings to get over before you proceed with the wedding
reception details specially if your running out of time. |

1 Day Online Marriage Formation Course Schedule This is an online course conducted via WebEx by the Diocesan Family Service Centre, Konkani Programme Commences at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday Concludes at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday *The certificate issued at the online course is valid for 12 months *Please click on the REGISTER button to apply for the same. *You and your fiance have to be well versed in using Online Sessions in the past and have good internet connectivity |

Approval from both Parishes | |
Each individual must have a good record with his/her respective parishes. Hence a one day or week's training with their respective parish priest's about the ethics and familiy values of christian life is required before the parish priest submits an N.O.C. (in the brides case) to the grooms church this is needed for the approval of the reading of the wedding banns which will be done in both churched three weeks prior to the day set by the couple.You will be required to give your conformation certificate to your concerned parish priest, incase you dont have one than your parish priest will give it to you on request if you have received conformation in the same church. |

Registration of Marriage | |
This
has to be done at the sub-registrar's office in the groom's taluka
with basic documents including the couples birth and residence certificates,
voters card or passport for identification and N.O.C.'s (No Objection
Certificate's) from the court stating "no outside opposition"
concerning both parties (i.e., previous marriages or any objection
towards your marriage) |
